Health and Safety:

Sick Students

Students who show any signs of illness will not be permitted to attend training or other activities with Passing Play. Please do NOT send your child to our training or activities if he or she is showing any symptoms of illness which could be passed onto someone else.

Such symptoms include but are not limited to:

  • Fever (temperature of 37.5 degrees or higher)
  • Sore Throat
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or breathing difficulty

If any member of the household has symptoms of Covid-19, or if any member of your household is under home quarantine, please do NOT send your child to our program or activities.

Passing Play students who show signs of illness or have a temperature of 37.5C or higher will be sent home. One of our head coaches will call the parent or emergency contact to arrange immediate pick up of the sick child.

Sick students will be removed from interactions with the team and wait for parents/guardians to pick them up.

Students who have developed a fever and/or respiratory symptoms will not be allowed to return to training or other programs until they are:

  • Fever-free and symptoms-free.
  • Passing Play reserves the right to ask for a medical clearance before returning to our program.

Passing Play Fever Policy:

Students must be fever free (temperature below 37.5C) without medication, and respiratory symptoms such as coughing and sneezing, for 48 hours before participating in any of our training or activities.

Action Plan for handling students who fall ill during a Passing Play training or activity:

Any student who develops a fever and/or respiratory symptoms during the course of the an activity with Passing Playmust:

  • Let their coach know they are not feeling well and they would like to be excused.
  • The coach will provide care and assessment to determine if the student needs to be sent home. (No Passing Play coaches or staff are medical personnel and their determination should not be used as a medical diagnosis)
  • The coach will call the parents if the student is confirmed to have fever and/or respiratory symptoms.
  • A Passing Play representative will stay with the student until the parent/guardian arrives.
  • Parents are advised to seek medical advice for their child as soon as possible. The car should leave the site immediately after pick-up.
  • Passing Play reserves the right to ask you for a medical clearance before returning to campus.

Maintaining a Safe Training Program

All Passing Play personnel have agreed to not participate in activities or trainings if they display any symptoms of illness or have had COVID within 14 days. 

All Passing Play personnel will wear PPE (personal protective equipment) and cleanse equipment used during practice, games or activities to reduce the spread of illness.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at all training and activities.
  • We have urged all staff members to increase precautionary measures to maintain personal hygiene and environmental hygiene during training and activities.
  • We will request all staff and service providers who have contact with our students, to take their temperature before participating in any activities or training with Passing Play. If they have a fever, they must not participate in our program until that has passed.

Handwashing and Hand Sanitizing

  • Program participants are encouraged to wash their hands frequently throughout training and activities.
  • Hand sanitizers are available during training. Upon starting and ending training, students will be asked to use hand sanitizer.

Passing Play Materials

  • Sanitizing of the materials will be done thoroughly after every training or activity.
  • Personal toys must stay at home. iPads, laptops and phones are not to be shared and should be wiped before and after use.

Please note that these guidelines are current as of April 20, 2021. Changes to procedures will be made as needed.

Privacy Policy

We will only collect your personal information about you and your child(ren) if you choose to provide it to us.

We pledge to meet, and where possible, exceed internationally recognized standards of personal privacy protection, in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (‘the Ordinance’).

Passing Play Privacy Policy Principles

Please read the following Privacy Policy to understand how Passing Play uses the personal data we may collect from you. You can review the Hong Kong Ordinance by following this link to the government’s website. When choosing Passing Play to teach your child about American Football you provide personal data to us. If you do so you are consenting to this Privacy Policy and the collection, use, access, transfer, disclosure, storage and processing of you and your child(ren)’s personal information to the extent necessary to deliver the education and training services to the student(s) as described in this Policy.

The Personal Data We Collect and Hold

Personal data, which includes information supplied by current students/parents, prospective students/parents, former students (alumni), and other program contacts, is collected through applications, records, and other communications activities undertaken by or on behalf of Passing Play. Passing Play requests that personal information on students and related family members be used for the following purposes, including but not limited to: to support the development and delivery of the Passing Play training program(s); to meet legal and regulatory requirements regarding student records for health and safety; for fundraising and related activities; to assess suitability for scholarships, or other financial awards; and to provide references, as requested. Records are kept to correspond with, respond to, and take follow-up actions regarding students, contacts, communications and other Passing Play activities.

Security and Accuracy of Personal Data

To maintain the accuracy of the personal data, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure the correct use of personal data, we have implemented appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and protect the personal data we collect against unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure or other use. However, we rely on you to inform us of any errors or changes to such information. You may amend your personal data, as appropriate by emailing us at info@passingplay.com

Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data 

Passing Play is a private training program. As a training program, the personal data you submit to us in Hong Kong may be transferred, used, processed, stored, and accessed worldwide so that we can deliver the communications necessary for our program. In addition, we may disclose and transfer personal data to government organizations, other training programs and/or other persons whom we consider appropriate and necessary, in connection with the services provided to or requested by you for your child(ren). By enrolling your child(ren) in Passing Play, you understand and consent to such transfer.

Retention of Personal Data

All personal data that has been collected from you will be retained for no longer than is required to fulfill the purpose (or any directly related purpose) for which the data was to be used, subject to legal, statutory and regulatory requirements mandating the retention of data.

How to Access or Update Your Personal Data

You may request access to and correct your personal data held by Passing Play. If you wish to obtain a copy of any of your personal data, if you believe the personal data relating to you or your child(ren), which we collect and maintain is incorrect, or if you believe the personal data held by us was used beyond the scope of the purpose of use disclosed above or was acquired by fraudulent or unlawful means or provided to a third party without your prior consent, please write to us at the address below.

A request for access or correction to, or deletion of personal data or for information regarding policies and practices and kinds of personal data held by us must be in writing and sent to us via registered postal mail. The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance requires a data access request to be made in accordance with the form which is available at https://www.pcpd.org.hk/english/publications/files/Dforme.pdf. We may charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.
